Launched in 2017, to celebrate the event's fifth year, SIM Magazine came to reinforce the power of SIM São Paulo as a content hub about the music market.
The first edition, besides presenting a beautiful timeline telling the event's history with testimonials of professionals who helped build it, it gathered texts analyzing the Brazilian market and presenting the nightlife of the capital of São Paulo, and columns of famous professionals on themes like the importance of politics and data for music and the growth of the syncing market.
In 2018, the magazine brought a mapping on the music produced from north to south of Brazil, its leading artists and particularities of each regional scene. This second edition also approached the value of music, that goes beyond the aesthetic discussion and has a big economic impact, and pointed out ways to think about the relation between music and technology and the possible future of it.
With a cover celebrating meetings and affection, in 2019, the third edition discussed in what ways music can help to build a better future. The pages look back on the 30 years of the cultural revolution that is the Brazilian funk, the history of Latin-American musical exchange, besides going through the relation between music and well-being and demystify the distribution of royalties and copyrights on streaming, among other themes.
